House of Indonesia is previously known as Indonesian Culture and Trade Promotion Center (ICTPC) which was launched in 1997. It is located on Calamansi Street, Juna Subdivision and has a total of 3,000 m2 for land and 850 m2 building.
The two-story construction is intended for promoting Indonesian culture and trade in Davao City. Since then, there has been numerous social, cultural and trade activities, exhibitions and conferences being held in the site.
In early 2008 ITCPC had undergone a major renovation to accommodate the increasing opportunities in the areas of socio-culture and economic between the Republic of Indonesia and the Republic of the Philippines, particularly in Mindanao, specially in regard of BIMP-EAGA. The first floor of the House has the capacity to hold such events.
The second floor of the building is intended for displaying Indonesian local commodities and comprehensive information related to them, in order to boost the economic relations of the two countries. Besides for trade promotion, free Bahasa Indonesia classes are also held on this floor. As for now, there are two classes being accomodated there, every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 16:00 to 18:00.
The second floor could also accommodate some Indonesian guests visiting Davao City who would like to stay in the city for some while. The guests normally have some official missions with their Davao counterparts.
